Parmalee is an American country music band from North Carolina composed of brothers Matthew and Scott Thomas, cousin Barry Knox, and friends Chris Felts and Jay Howell. The group debuted in 2006 with their first album Inside, and have since released two more records; their self-titled album in 2012, and 27861 in 2015. Parmalee has achieved tremendous success, with six of their singles having charted in the top ten on Billboard’s US Country chart, two of which have gone on to secure the number one spot. In 2014, the group had the highest debut of a guitar-driven debut album, debuting at number twenty on the Top Country Albums chart; their single album “Close Your Eyes” also hit number one on the Media Base chart. In addition to their success in the studio, Parmalee are also renowned for their energetic live shows.
