About Pearl Jam
Rising from the ashes of Mother Love Bone by guitarist Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament, Pearl Jam formed in 1990 in Seattle, Washington, as a new project that would overshadow Nirvana. With an already stable base of what music echoed the crowds, they released Ten in 1991, which propelled them in rock mainstream.
Their sound was organized around 80s post-punk and 70 stadium rock, and soon enough, Peal Jam became similar to the 90s grunge sound alongside Nirvana. The band hit their milestones fast! With countless music videos on MTV and appearances at festivals such as Lolapalooza, Peal Jam was on a tear! They refused to cave into the customs of the music industry, not releasing music videos for their second album. Yet, they still reached multi-platinum status and have been described as the most influential bands of the 90s.
