Portrayal of Guilt is an American post-hardcore band from Austin, Texas, composed of Marcus Price (Guitar/Vocals), Chris Teti (Drums), and Conor Ryan (Bass). Their sound has been said to be a mix of hardcore punk and sludge metal, incorporating elements of black metal, grindcore, and experimental post-hardcore. They released their debut EP "We Are Always Alone" in 2015. The EP received wide acclaim from fans, and the band quickly gained a cult following in the punk scene. In 2018, they released their first full-length album "Let Pain Be Your Guide", which was praised for its emotional intensity and raw energy. After touring across the US and Europe to support "Let Pain Be Your Guide", the band released their follow-up EP "The Abuse" in 2019. They are currently touring in support of this EP and are set to record a new full-length album later this year.
