Rob Thomas is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer best known as the lead singer of the band Matchbox Twenty. Thomas has had a successful solo career, releasing three top-selling albums since 2005. He also wrote and produced for other artists, including Carlos Santana and Mick Jagger, and performed as a guest vocalist for such acts as Willie Nelson and Daughtry. Thomas is a two-time Grammy Award winner, and his music has achieved gold and platinum successes in the US and Canada. He has enjoyed 22 top 40 singles, 17 of which have reached the top ten, including several number ones like “Lonely No More” and his hit cover of “Smooth.”
