About RUSH
Rush was a Canadian rock band formed in 1968 in Toronto, Ontario, known for its complex compositions, intricate musicianship, and philosophical lyrics. The classic lineup consisted of Geddy Lee (bass, vocals, keyboards), Alex Lifeson (guitar), and Neil Peart (drums, lyrics), who joined in 1974. Over their four-decade career, Rush released numerous acclaimed albums, such as "2112," "Moving Pictures," and "Permanent Waves," earning a dedicated fan base and influencing countless musicians. The band retired after their 2015 R40 Live Tour, leaving a lasting legacy as pioneers of progressive rock, and in 2020, Neil Peart passed away, marking the end of an era.
