About Ark
Ark is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter, producer and instrumentalist from Denmark. He founded the indie/electronica band Blossom City and has since gone on to record solo albums and EPs. His debut solo album, We Are Really Alright, was released in 2011 and was a critical and commercial success, making the top 25 in the Danish Albums chart. Heavily influenced by trip-hop and dream-pop, Ark's music combines elements of jazz, soul and psychedelic rock with swirling atmospherics. In addition to his solo work, Ark has collaborated with numerous artists from around the world, including the likes of Seinabo Sey and Mariam Wallentin and more recently with contemporary jazz star Gregory Porter. With his innovative and boundary-pushing sound, Ark has established himself as one of the leading artists in the Danish music scene.
