Curren$y is a rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He originally gained attention as a part of the popular rap duo, The Youngbloodz. In 2006, he signed to the record label Cash Money Records and released his debut studio album, Music Money Magnums. That same year, he left Cash Money and released his first mixtape, How Fly, in collaboration with Wiz Khalifa. His first two albums, This Ain't No Mixtape and Jet Files, followed shortly after. In 2011, he released his third studio album, Pilot Talk, which spawned the hit singles "Michael Knight" and "Life Under the Scope".

Since then, Curren$y has released several successful mixtapes and albums, including The Stoned Immaculate and Canal Street Confidential.
