El Debarge is an American musician from the Detroit area. He achieved fame in the 1980s with singles like "Stay With Me," "Love Me In A Special Way," and the Grammy-nominated single "Who's Johnny." His career began as a part of the family R&B group DeBarge. He launched his solo career with his 1982 debut album All This Love. His breakthrough album Heart, Mind and Soul peaked at the 19th spot on the Billboard 200 and was his most successful album. He went on to release several more albums, but his struggles with substance abuse began to affect his career in the mid-90s. In 2010, he regained the spotlight through an appearance on the hit reality tv show, Celebrity Fit Club. He had a minor comeback in 2009 with Second Chance, which peaked at 5th spot on the Us R&B album chart. El Debarge's iconic contribution to the music industry continues to remain unparalleled.
