About Green Day
Green Day is an American punk-rock band from California that formed in 1986. The band hit the motherload with their 2004 "American Idiot" album giving fans another look at a refreshing millennial punk. With a pop-punk and alternative badge to their name, Green Day managed to create a sound that's their own. Political, and still radio-friendly while preserving the anarchical punk attitude, Green Day won the mainstream audience on several occasions. With direct political messages touching the US government, Green Day's songs were both affectionate, meaningful, and relatable.
Their first album Dookie was a commercial success reaching platinum label but wasn't anything similar to their current sound. The band has since reached multiple platinum status, and have seen their tracks and albums reach Billboard top 200 several times.
It's always a good time to see Green Day perform as they're doing with the same attitude and fire behind their lyrics.
