About Houndmouth

Houndmouth is an American alternative folk rock band from New Albany, Indiana. Formed in 2011, the band consists of Matt Myers on guitar and lead vocals, Zak Appleby on bass and vocals, Shane Cody on drums, and Katie Toupin on keyboards and vocals. Their debut album "From the Hills Below The City" was released in 2013 and was listed as one of Rolling Stone magazine's Best Albums of the Year. The success of the album led to several high profile tours and festival appearances within the US, including Bonnaroo Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and SXSW. In 2015, the band released their follow up studio album, "Little Neon Limelight" which received rave reviews and saw the band taking their music even further worldwide with tours in Japan and Europe. Their sound is heavily inspired by classic influences such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Dylan, and Etta James, and their music has been described as a unique blend of alternative
