About Leo Sayer
English singer and songwriter Leo Sayer rose to fame in the 1970s with hits such as "When I Need You" and "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing." Born Gerard Hugh Sayer in 1949, he began performing in his early twenties and released his first album Silverbird in 1973. That same year his third single, "The Show Must Go On" became a hit in both the US and the UK.
Over the course of subsequent decades, Sayer released numerous Top 10 singles and chart-topping albums, earning enormous worldwide success, millions of record sales and a Grammy nomination. In 1999, Sayer topped the UK charts once again with a re-release of his hit "Thunder in My Heart." He is internationally renowned for being one of the premier "adult contemporary" music artists of his era.
