Mallrat, by the name Grace Kathleen Elizabeth Shaw, is a sort of pop music sensation ever since she released her first EP "Uninvited" in 2016 at the age of 16. Her quick rise to among Australia's pop scene comes as no surprise as she started writing and uploading music online since highschool.
In 2017 following a performance at Splendour in the Grass along with influential artists like Peking Duk and Allday, she signed two record deals with Nettwerk Records and Dew Process. In 2018 Grace toured alongside Maggie Rogers as her opening support act.
Mallrat's electronic pop music was often associated with graceful teenage rebellion. She paints everyday situations into imaginary pieces of musical art. It goes without saying that Grace won the souls of young at heart auditors with her vocal charisma.
