Metalachi is the world's first and only heavy metal mariachi band. The band is based in Los Angeles, California and consists of five musicians playing traditional Mariachi instruments and performing classic and original heavy metal songs. Led by “El Cucuy” (Vocalist, Violin), Metalachi prides itself on its unique blend of styles, melding the classic Mariachi vibe with pulsing metal riffs and crunching rock solos. Their live show is a high-energy experience full of audience participation including epic guitar solos, costume changes and comedy bits. Metalachi has toured consistently since 2012, playing festivals like Bumbershoot and Burning Man in addition to many bar and club venues.
