Ruben Studdard is a vocal artist from Birmingham, Alabama. He rose to fame after winning the second season of the hit reality TV series American Idol in 2003. Following this success, Studdard released his debut album Soulful in 2003, which went platinum and garnered two Grammy nominations. His second album, I Need an Angel, also achieved major success and is certified Gold. Subsequent albums include the fan favorites The Return, Love Is, and Letters from Birmingham. In addition to releasing music, Studdard has achieved success on Broadway, appearing in multiple productions such as The Color Purple and The Wiz. Additionally, Ruben Studdard has toured worldwide, famously singing for President Obama's first Inaugration.
