Suzanne Vega is an American singer-songwriter best known for her hit singles "Luka" and "Tom's Diner." She has released nine studio albums, including her critically-acclaimed 1985 debut, "Suzanne Vega," and the 1992 Grammy-nominated "99.9 F°." Vega is particularly noted for her remarkable songwriting ability, which draws influence from the folk-music tradition while incorporating heartfelt storytelling and poetic imagery. In addition to her solo career, Vega has collaborated with artists such as Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, John Cale and Elvis Costello, as well as writing the English lyrics for Ute Lemper's "Punishing Kiss."
