Trinity Roots tickets

Trinity Roots are a roots reggae-soul trio from Wellington, New Zealand. The group formed in 1998 and consists of vocalist Warren Maxwell, bassist Rio Hemopo and drummer Riki Gooch. With roots in the Wellington jazz and dub scenes, the trio has created a unique blend of reggae-soul, r&B, and dub. Trinity Root is best known for their first album True 2007, which earned them two New Zealand Music Awards. Subsequent albums have allowed the band to explore different styles including jazz, soul, and funk. Many of their songs have featured on major television shows including Australian Idol and Grey’s Anatomy. They have also been featured on numerous soundtracks including Whale Rider, The Truman Show, and Sione’s Wedding. Trinity Roots remain one of the most popular and respected acts from New Zealand.
