Vandenberg is a Dutch heavy metal band formed in 1981 by guitarist Adrian Vandenberg. In 1982 they released their self-titled debut album, earning the band a permanent place in the Heavy Metal Hall of Fame. The band is best known for their hit single, "Burning Heart", which was released in 1983 and was a Top 40 hit in many countries during the mid-eighties. The band had moderate success in the Netherlands, Germany and Japan, but little success in the US, partly due to the lack of promotion they received. Over the years, they have released seven studio albums. The band's latest album, 2018's "2020", marked their return to the studio after a 20-year hiatus. The album has been well-received by both fans and critics, and continues to showcase Vandenberg's brand of melodic heavy metal.
