Wale is an American rapper, singer songwriter and actor from Washington, D.C., best known for his hit singles "Chillen", "Pretty Girls" and "Bad". He released his debut album, Attention Deficit, in 2009, and his third album, The Gifted, topped the US Billboard album chart in 2013. Wale has also gained significant critical acclaim and collaborated with some of the most popular artists in the music industry, including Lady Gaga, Usher, Drake, Rick Ross, Asap Rocky, among others. He is also signed to Maybach Music Group, founded by rapper Rick Ross. Wale has won multiple BET Awards, Soul Train Awards, Grammy Award nominations and has had five Grammy nominations, including Best Rap Song for "Lotus Flower Bomb". Wale's most recent album Self Promotion was released in 2018.
