About The Brian Jonestown Massacre
The Brian Jonestown Massacre are an American psychedelic rock band formed in San Fransisco, California in 1990, led by musical mastermind Anton Newcombe. With an ever-changing lineup and a sound that ranges from shoegaze to garage punk, they have gained a cult following influenced by indie and alternative music. The band is perhaps best known for their prolific recording and prolific output, involving over 20 studio albums and several EPs and singles. The Brian Jonestown Massacre are praised for their experimentation with varying musical styles and they have been heavily influenced by classical music, 60s psychedelia, folk and blues. In addition, they have frequently used exotic instruments and unusual sound effects to create their distinct musical sound. Despite the instability, the band remains active to this day, last releasing an album in 2020.
