Scottish musician Midge Ure, renowned for his work with Ultravox and as a co-founder of Band Aid, is set to release his first new material in 12 years. The double album, titled A Man of Two Worlds, is scheduled for release on May 8, 2026, coinciding with the launch of his accompanying tour.

The album is divided into two distinct halves: World One: Music features eight instrumental pieces, while World Two: Songs comprises eight vocal tracks. This structure reflects Ure's creative journey during the lockdown period, where he immersed himself in instrumental music and sought to craft melodies that convey emotion without lyrics. As the world reopened, he was inspired to create vocal tracks that address contemporary issues and the human condition.

Ure's A Man of Two Worlds tour, beginning in May and June 2026, aims to provide an immersive live experience. Departing from traditional setlists, the performances will blend instrumentals and songs into a continuous, cinematic narrative, offering audiences a fresh perspective on his music.

In addition to the UK tour, Ure has announced the Catalogue - The Hits Tour in Australia, starting on October 22, 2026, at the James Hay Theatre in Christchurch. This tour will showcase highlights from his extensive career, including solo work and collaborations with bands such as Ultravox, The Rich Kids, Thin Lizzy, and Visage.

Fans can anticipate a dynamic year ahead, with new music and innovative live performances that underscore Ure's enduring influence in the music industry.
