Phil Collins, the renowned British musician and former Genesis frontman, has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. This marks his second induction, following his 2010 entry with Genesis. The 2026 induction ceremony is scheduled for November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with tickets now available for purchase. Unlike previous years, the event will be recorded and broadcast in December on ABC and Disney+.

Collins has expressed his honor at this recognition, stating, "Obviously I'm pleased and honored to be inducted. It wraps up what has been a wonderful life in music." Despite his enthusiasm, Collins has declined to perform at the ceremony due to ongoing health concerns. He explained, "They asked me if I would perform and I said no, because you've got to be match fit to do something like that."

Over the past few years, Collins has faced significant health challenges, including multiple knee surgeries and a near-fatal bout with alcohol-related complications in 2024. He has since achieved three years of sobriety and reports improved health, though he now requires 24-hour medical care. Reflecting on his journey, Collins shared, "Physically now, I reckon I'm A1, 100 percent. I've worked at it. Haven't drunk for three years."

In addition to his Hall of Fame induction, Collins has announced a deluxe vinyl box set of his debut solo album, "Face Value," celebrating its 45th anniversary. The set includes a previously unreleased live version of "You Know What I Mean" and a new Dolby Atmos mix by Steven Wilson, slated for release in September.

Fans and fellow musicians alike celebrate Collins' enduring contributions to music, acknowledging both his artistic achievements and his resilience in the face of personal and health challenges.
