Blanton is known for her evocative yet witty lyrics and infectious song hooks. She has released 8 albums, featuring her own blend of jazz, blues, folk, acoustic, and even hip-hop. She has performed with acts like Norah Jones, Citizen Cope, and Incubus, and has also opened for the likes of Rufus Wainwright and Sturgill Simpson. Her songs have been featured on shows like Grey's Anatomy, Younger, and Nashville. In 2020, Blanton released her first book Part of the Noise.
