Earth Tongue is an experimental psychedelic duo from New Zealand, composed of GussieLarkin and Trem and based in Wellington. They create a unique amalgamation of metal, psych-rock, noise, dub, and post-punk. Earth Tongue's live performances often translate as an all-encompassing sonic assault, while incense and psychedelia are heavily used throughout the immersive experience. They are frequently labelled as a "must-see" for ardent fans of dark, challenging music. In February 2018, Earth Tongue released their debut album Floating Being, which was labelled by many as a "psychedelic ode to the dreamy solace of nature and confrontational aural pleasures". They followed this release up in January 2020 with their second album The Constellation of tried Dreams, featuring ten new tracks of further experimentation. The band continues to tour and perform regularly in their home country and beyond.
