FM is a Canadian rock band led by Cameron Hawkins and Nash the Slash. The group rose to fame in the 1980's with heavy electronic rock and new wave sounds. FM's debut studio album, Black Noise, achieved moderate success both in Canada and the US and earned them a Juno Award for Best Record Design. FM is also notable for their MTV hit single "Phasors on Stun," which earned them an American Video Music Award nomination in 1987. The band has released a total of 11 studio albums and had several singles reach the Canadian charts. In 2013, the band released two full-length acoustic albums in a highly-acclaimed style, which allowed fans to further explore the band's impressive musical textures.
