Humbird, the musical project of Wisconsin-based musician and songwriter Marielle Allschwang, is a genre-exploratory project combining folk-inspired melodies with ambitious arrangements expressed through intimate instrumentation. Blending traditional instruments with modern experimental production techniques, her music is a sonic experience that both honors and challenges daily life. Her debut album “Pharmakon” was released in 2017, and the follow-up album “Pink Horizons” in 2019. In 2020, Humbird's third album “The Drift & The Longest Year” was released with Humbird’s critically acclaimed experimental folk songwriting and delicate visuals. Humbird has opened for artists such as Lucius, Marlon Williams and Margaret Glaspy. She has also performed at festivals such as SXSW and Eaux Claires.
