Jay Som is an American recording artist, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Oakland, California. She was born and raised in the Bay Area, and began recording her own music with a laptop in her bedroom in 2015. Her style has been described as a blend of dream pop, psych rock, indie pop, and shoegaze. She has released two studio albums to date: 'Everybody Works' in 2017 and 'Anak Ko' in 2019. Both albums earned critical acclaim from fans and music critics alike. Along with her studio albums, she has released numerous singles, EPs, and live recordings throughout her career. Jay Som has embarked on tour in the United States, Europe, and Australia, and has performed at acclaimed festivals such as Bonnaroo and Primavera. She has also appeared on various late night talk shows such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
