Jimmie Vaughan is an American blues-rock guitarist, artist, and songwriter known for his solo work and for leading The Fabulous Thunderbirds. With a career spanning more than four decades, he has become an influential figure in the blues and blues-rock genres. Vaughan's skillful guitar work has made him a sought-after collaborator, having worked with artists like Eric Clapton and Willie Nelson, among others, and helped him become a member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He has released several solo albums since the early 1990s, incorporating elements of jazz, rock, and funk into his unique guitar sound. He continued to be an active performer in the 2000s with the release of several live albums and a critically acclaimed collaboration with his brother, blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan.
