Lauren Flax is an American musician, producer, vocalist, and DJ from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was known as half of the dance-music duo CREEP, and currently works as a solo artist and musician-in-residence at the NYU Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Her solo career has been extraordinarily successful with multiple top 10 singles on both the US and UK Club charts. Her productions exhibit an array of influences – from house and techno to drum 'n' bass, offering her listeners a unique and diverse musical palette. Flax has played an important role as a leading artist in the electronic music era. She has performed at major festivals and events, including MUTEK, Mutek Mexico City, Movement Detroit, SXSW, and Coachella. She has also collaborated with big-name DJs and producers such as Scissor Sisters, Diplo, and Boys Noize.
