Mita Gami is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter. She first gained recognition on the underground club scene around 2006 and has since gone on to release several studio albums. Her work is heavily influenced by the electronic music of the '90s. Gami has collaborated with renowned producers including Terada Mitsuo and Pinocchio, as well as musicians such as Kataoka Hidehiko and Baby Machine. She has performed at various high-profile music events and festivals in Japan as well as setting her sights overseas by appearing at SXSW and The Great Escape Festival in the UK. Gami’s music has been described as an eclectic mix of electronic-pop and glitchy funk.
