The Phonics are an indie rock band from Los Angeles, California with a reputation for upbeat, catchy and nostalgic sound. The Phonics were formed in 2011 as a result of their members’ shared passion for music. Led by frontman Matthew Gorman, the band quickly achieved success in Southern California, developing a following of passionate fans.

In 2014, The Phonics released their debut album, Songs For The Other Side, which was well received by critics and earned the band several award nominations. Since then, the band has released several more albums, including 2018's Ghost Stories, which has been praised for its dark, atmospheric sound.

The Phonics have established a devoted audience across the US, and frequently tour the country to promote their music. To date, The Phonics are still actively performing and recording music from their hometown in Los Angeles.
