The San Jose Sharks are set to face the St. Louis Blues tonight at Enterprise Center in St. Louis, with the puck dropping at 8 p.m. ET. This matchup marks the Blues' home opener for the 2026-27 NHL season. (nhl.com)
A significant storyline leading into the game is the status of Sharks' captain Macklin Celebrini. The 20-year-old center, who missed Monday's 5-0 loss to the Dallas Stars due to a lower-body injury, participated in the morning skate today. However, his availability remains uncertain, as he stayed on the ice afterward—a possible indication that he may not be ready to return. (nhl.com)
Celebrini has been instrumental for the Sharks early this season, recording five assists in the team's first two games. Last season, he amassed 115 points (45 goals, 70 assists) in 82 games, ranking fourth in the NHL. (nhl.com)
The Blues, aiming to snap a two-game losing streak, will look to capitalize on their home-ice advantage. Defenseman Colton Parayko is expected to play in his 804th game for the Blues, moving into second place in franchise history for games played, behind Bernie Federko. (nhl.com)
Fans can watch the game live on ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu.
