The Phoenix Suns secured a 102-98 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in their preseason matchup on October 10, 2026. Despite the absence of star players Devin Booker and Miles Bridges, who were both ruled out for the game, the Suns showcased their depth and emerging talent.
Luke Kennard led the team with a game-high 20 points, demonstrating his scoring prowess and potential impact for the upcoming season. Additionally, rookie center Khaman Maluach made a notable impression, effectively matching up against Spurs' standout Victor Wembanyama. Maluach's performance highlighted his defensive capabilities and readiness to contribute significantly to the team's frontcourt.
The Suns' decision to rest Booker and Bridges provided an opportunity for other players to step up, and they did not disappoint. The team's cohesive play and resilience without key starters suggest a promising depth that could be advantageous as the regular season approaches.
This preseason win offers a glimpse into the Suns' potential and the contributions expected from both seasoned players and newcomers. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how this momentum carries into the regular season.
