Mike Evans' Viral Trash Talk Highlights 49ers' Victory Over Seahawks

During the Week 5 matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks on October 11, 2026, a notable exchange occurred between 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans and Seahawks cornerback Trevon Diggs. As Diggs engaged in trash talk, Evans responded by turning Diggs around to look at the name on the back of his jersey, implying he didn't recognize him. This gesture quickly went viral, with many commentators highlighting its disrespectful nature. Diggs, once a standout cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, has faced challenges in recent seasons, including injuries and team changes. Evans' on-field performance complemented his trash talk, as he recorded over 100 receiving yards and scored the game's first touchdown, contributing significantly to the 49ers' 32-29 victory over the Seahawks.
