U2 has announced their return to stadium tours with "Carnaval De Luz Presents: The Greatest Show On Earth," set to commence in February 2027. This marks the band's first stadium tour since 2019 and coincides with the release of their 16th studio album, Carnaval De Luz, scheduled for November 13, 2026.

In conjunction with the tour announcement, U2 released a new single titled "The Greatest Show On Earth," co-written with Brian Eno. The song narrates the story of lovers striving to maintain faith in each other and in faith itself. An accompanying music video, directed by Anton Corbijn and filmed in the Californian desert, portrays the band as a satirical religious cult, with women performing the heavy lifting.
Reflecting on the upcoming tour, U2 stated: "'The Greatest Show on Earth'? Now that's a throwdown. It's a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody's life. A bit of showman, a bit of shaman, a riot of colour, unreasonable guitar, bass and drums, and tunes you can hold onto. Because if people are gonna show up, we certainly are."
This tour and album release signify a significant milestone in U2's illustrious career, offering fans both new material and the opportunity to experience the band's dynamic live performances once again.
