Robert James is an American contemporary R&B singer/songwriter from Philadelphia, PA. He has been writing and performing his unique style of R&B since his debut EP, 'Rise', in 2010. He has won various awards for his music, including four Philadelphia Music Industry Association awards in 2011 and 2012, for Best Male Vocalist and Best R&B song.

James has collaborated and performed alongside many luminaries to date including Q Tip, Jill Scott, Bilal and Tye Tribbett, among many others. He released his first full length album, 'Redemption', in 2014, which was met with critical acclaim, and followed up with his 2016 EP, 'R&B State of Mind'.

James continues to evolve as a singer and songwriter, spreading a timeless sound of R&B. His distinctive sound—infused with hip-hop elements, soulful melodies and passionate story-telling lyrics—has made him a popular presence
