About Calexico

Calexico is an American indie rock and alternative country band from Tuscon, Arizona. The band was formed in 1996 by Joey Burns and John Convertino, who share lead vocal duties and play a variety of instruments. Other band members include multi-instrumentalist Martin Wenk, bassist Paul Niehaus, vocalist Vincenzo Vasi, and percussionist Jacob Valenzuela.

Their musical style is a blend of Latin influences, mariachi music, country, jazz, and traditional rock. The band has released nine studio albums, their most recent being The Thread That Keeps Us, released in 2018. They've also toured extensively in both the US and Europe and collaborated with other artists such as Iron & Wine, The Black Keys, Barbra Streisand, and Soda Stereo.

In addition to their studio releases, Calexico has released several live albums and singles. They've been nominated for a Grammy
