Varg is a Swedish musician best known for creating the signature subgenre of synthwave known as "outrun". He has released many full-length albums since beginning in 2014, under labels such as Valhall Music, Thirteen & Wax, Dream Catalogue, and Dream Disk Lab. His music was said to bring “the vibe of 80s horror and synthwave games” and is often described as high energy and moody. Over the years Varg has collaborated with a number of artists like RMDY, Metarim, Simon Heartfield, and Arkh Storey. His song ‘Voyager’ has received much critical acclaim and featured on the futuristic video game ‘Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number’. Varg remains an important figure of the synthwave and outrun genres.
