Bondi Cigars are an Australian alternative rock band, based in Sydney, formed in 2000. The band is led by lead singer and songwriter Stephen Birtlesmey, who has been feature in a number of Australian music festivals. Bondi Cigars have released a pair of studio albums plus singles and EPs, with their debut album attracting praise in Australia upon release in 2006. The band has developed a cult following in Australia and in 2016 they opened for The Kooks on tour. Their single ‘Til I Die’ reached No. 57 in Australia, making Bondi Cigars one of the most successful Indie Australian bands in the 2000s.
