Girl in a Coma was an indie rock band from San Antonio, Texas, formed in 2006. The band consisted of sisters Nina and Phanie Diaz, who played guitar/vocals and drums respectively, and bassist Jenn Alva. Known for their dynamic sound that blended punk, rockabilly, and indie influences, the trio quickly gained recognition with their energetic performances and poignant lyrics. They released several albums, most notably on Joan Jett's Blackheart Records, earning critical acclaim and a loyal fanbase before their eventual breakup in 2018.
