About John Butler Trio
John Butler Trio is an Australian Grammy-nominated rock band formed in 1998 from Fremantle, Western Australia. The band consists of John Butler (guitar, vocals), Byron Luiters (bass) and Grant Gerathy (drums).
John Butler Trio's sound combines a wide range of genres such as folk, blues, jazz, country, reggae, and rock. Their most successful album is their platinum-certified 2003 release Sunrise Over Sea, which peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
John Butler Trio has achieved much critical and commercial success in Australia that has seen the band often headline festivals in their home country. The band has also done well in Europe and the U.S. with the album Living 2001–2002 gaining a Grammy nomination.
John Butler Trio continue to tour and perform live shows to this day, with a wide variety of sounds and styles that attract fans from all spectrums
