Sarah Shook & the Disarmers are an American country rock band, led by singer and songwriter Sarah Shook. She formed the group in 2014, after leaving her former country outfit, and has come to embody a new generation of outlaw country music. The group has released two albums and two EPs, plus numerous singles, featuring a signature blend of country twang, punk energy, and lyrical wit. The band has toured extensively, playing festivals, clubs, and venues across America. In 2019, they made their network television debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Combining an edgy, rock-influenced sound with classic Americana style, Sarah Shook & the Disarmers remain one of the most innovative country acts around.
