About Tessa Lark
Tessa Lark is an American violinist, performing artist, and educator. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant and the 2014 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award. She has performed with orchestras worldwide, including those of Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Toronto, Vienna, the New York Philharmonic, and the Mariinsky Theatre. She has also collaborated with prominent classical, crossover, jazz, and bluegrass musicians in solo recitals and chamber music performances. In addition to her musical career, Lark has served on the faculties of Rice University's Shepherd School and Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music, and worked as a clinician for the National Youth Orchestra and Quality Council of Kentucky. In 2021, Lark founded the Tessa Lark Mentorship Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating mentorship opportunities for promising young musicians.
