Whitney is an American pop and R&B singer-songwriter. She is best known for her 1993 debut album, 'Whitney Houston', which was certified 13-times platinum and has sold 35 million copies worldwide. Also, on that same year, her self-titled album won her a record-tying eight Grammy Awards. Her 1993 single "I Will Always Love You," remains the biggest selling single by a female artist and one of the best-selling singles of all time. Throughout her career, Whitney broke many records: she was the first woman to enter the Billboard 200 all-genre albums chart at number one; she was named the most awarded female artist of all time by Guinness World Records, and she was one of the best-selling artist of all time. Whitney's career ended in 2012 following her death, but her music and legacy lives on.
