The Perth Wildcats secured a thrilling 97-93 victory over the New Zealand Breakers on October 10, 2026, at RAC Arena in Perth. This win marks the Wildcats' fourth consecutive triumph in the NBL season.
NBA veteran Brandon Knight made a significant impact in his NBL debut for the Wildcats, contributing 15 points and 7 assists. His performance provided a steadying presence for the team. Dylan Windler led the scoring for Perth with 22 points, showcasing his sharpshooting abilities. On the opposing side, Sam Mennenga delivered an outstanding performance for the Breakers, recording a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Despite Mennenga's efforts, the Breakers fell short in the final moments of the game.
The match was highly anticipated, especially after the Breakers' recent back-to-back wins. However, the Wildcats' home-court advantage and cohesive team play proved decisive. This victory solidifies Perth's position as a formidable contender in the league.
Looking ahead, the Wildcats aim to extend their winning streak as they prepare for their next matchup. The Breakers, on the other hand, will seek to regroup and bounce back in their upcoming games.
