Ricky Velez is an American stand-up comic, actor, and writer from Queens, New York. He has appeared and written on such shows as “The Rundown with Robin Thede”, “Late Night with Seth Meyers”, and “The Chris Gethard Show”. He was also the co-anchor of Comedy Central's "Nightly Show" from 2015 to 2016. Velez's stand-up performances focus on his heritage, life as a Puerto Rican American, and his current place in the world. Outside of his tailored stand up, Velez has delivered scathing political commentary on his podcast, “The Latinx House Podcast.” Velez is currently an executive producer for the new Netflix series, “A Little Bit Different” while continuing to tour for stand up and release comedy albums.
