Alton Brown is an American celebrity chef, television personality, author, and actor. He is the host and executive producer of the long-running Food Network series Good Eats, which has aired on the network for more than 14 seasons. He is also the host of the annual Iron Chef America show on Food Network and Cutthroat Kitchen on the network's sister channel, Cooking Channel. He has authored several books, including Alton Brown's Gear for Your Kitchen, I'm Just Here for the Food, and Even More Food Network Favorites. In addition, he has appeared in feature films such as Winning London and Color of Friendship. Brown has won numerous awards for his work, including an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program. He is an advocate for healthier eating and has been credited with popularizing the “made from scratch” cooking approach.
