DeRay Davis is an American actor and stand-up comedian who has been entertaining audiences since the late 1990s. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he grew up in the city's south side, and made his way into the stand-up comedy world with his first open mic in 1997. From there, he honed his skills and eventually began making appearances on Wild 'n Out, Def Comedy Jam, and Saturday Night Live. In recent years, his films and television roles have included Barbershop, Semi-Pro, Due Date, 21 Jump Street, and Empire. He is best known for his appearances in stand-up specials for Showtime, Comedy Central, and Netflix, and his comedic music videos.
