About Baal
Baal is the project of German musician and composer Konrad Schonwandt. He first made a name for himself in the 1990s with his unique blend of multi-instrumental post-rock experimentalism. His music combines elements of avant-garde rock, classical music, jazz, world music, and ambient music. He has released a number of albums on independent record labels, and his works have been used in a variety of films and video productions. His most recent works include a collaboration with contemporary classical composer Philip Glass and the score for Mathieu Kassovitz's film "Munich." Baal continues to perform throughout Europe and promote his music with innovative live shows and multimedia performances.
