Makam tickets

Makam, born Maarten Smeets, is a Dutch producer, DJ, and composer of electronic dance music. He has released several vinyl singles and full-length albums, most notably his 2020 album titled Verawood. Makam's music is unique in that it combines elements of techno, ambient, and classical music, resulting in a distinct sound. He often collaborates with other artists, such as fellow Dutch producer Jeroen Search, and his releases have gained support from the likes of Richie Hawtin and Laurent Garnier. He also performs live sets which incorporate improvisations and feature instruments including the modular synthesizer and the Theremin. Makam has become a prominent figure in the Dutch electronic music scene and regularly appears at festivals throughout Europe and the US.
