Montero, also known as Lil Nas X, is an American rapper and singer-songwriter. He initially gained popularity for his breakthrough single known as "Old Town Road," which became the longest-running number one single in the history of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. This single was released as part of an EP, entitled 7. He received mainstream recognition for his debut studio album, including six Grammy Award nominations. In addition to his music career, Montero has made crossover into television and film, as well as endorsements and fashion collaborations. He recently released single and video Science Fiction, and is planning to release another collaborative project with DJ/producer Nas and Young Thug. He is known for defying genre conventions, releasing multiple projects with a wide range of styles under one name.
